A hand-painted wall is completely different from wallpaper, which among all its positives and negatives must have repetition. For the past two years I’ve been developing a personal and rather unique process using a sort of “meltable” paper for customizable wall designs. Each SGS motif is unique, and melts onto the wall to become a hand-painted work of art.
Decorative Motifs can be applied to wall paint, glazes, plaster, canvas, or paper (which comes in rolls or sheets), and can be anything from a single subtle design on a wall or corner to a bold design encompassing a whole room. I work closely with my clients to find a look that fulfills their vision and fits their budget. Each element is cut, hand-painted, and applied to the wall in an approved design. I look forward to discussing your projects with you, seeing if something in my samples might work and/or collaborating with you on a new idea.
PLASTER, PAINT, AND GLAZES — These are the different techniques used for the background. Samples are provided and approved to assure each job has the desired color, texture, and sheen.
WALLPAPER — Custom Designs / Rolls are 30” Wide on Class A Rated Paper / Sheets are 24” x 30” on Japanese Paper
CANVAS — Custom Sizes Made to Order
WALL DESIGNS
Individual motifs, which can be applied directly on to the wall. They also can be special ordered as wallpaper (in sheets or rolls) and on painted heavyweight muslin.
MURALS
A pre-approved design custom made to order on heavyweight muslin. Depending on the design, we can apply the motifs directly on to the wall.
HANGING PAINTINGS
Non stretched paintings done with the Decorative Motif technique.
